Spring Semester Update and Wrap-Up!

Hello everyone!  I have been a very busy bee during the last month. I can't believe my sophomore year is actually ending and I'm about to be a junior, that's insane!! Time really does fly.  Although this week is finals week and all, I wanted to take a little time before I leave for the summer to update everyone on a few things that I have been involved in around campus!

This is a photo of the Tuesday mentors that are involved in the mentoring & enrichment program on campus! They each work one-on-one with a student from Sister's Academy of Baltimore Middle School once a week.  I have served as a mentor since my very first semester at Notre Dame.  I am now one of two Student Leaders that coordinate this program. 

This is Hannah (mentor) working with C'Risha (student).  I worked with C'Risha last semester, she's such a sweetheart! 

We had our annual Tri-Beta Induction!  Tri-Beta is the national biological honors society and we have a chapter on campus.  Since I am a sophomore and have completed enough biology courses with over a B average, I am now eligible for full-membership.

Happy Easter!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. Sorry it has been a few weeks, this semester has just been flying by! During the past month I've had spring break, which i spent spending time with family and friends. I also decided to get highlights!

We also had our Accepted Student Overnight event last week!  This event was fun and we took a lot of pictures, however they have not yet been made available to me.  I will post them on my blog whenever I can!

In general, the semester has just been speeding by.  I still cannot believe it's April already.  The weather on campus has been absolutely fabulous and we are having a gorgeous spring season here at Notre Dame!  Here is a pic one of my fellow students took a few days ago:

Another random little tidbit: dinner was delicious the other night! I had two plates which looked just like this lol spaghetti is definitely my favorite food.

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog =D it's been a while and a lot of things happened during the busy month of February! This semester is really flying by!

My Birthday

My birthday was last Wednesday on February 29th (yes I am a leap year baby, and yes my birthday actually came this year!!) I am officialy 20 years old (or 5, if you want to take it literally lol).  I had a really good time all of last week (and the weekend before!) Below are pictures of the awesome home-made card The Admissions Team made for me! I love and appreciate it so much that I have posted it on the wall in my room =)

Organic Chem II Test
Below is the first test I took for Organic Chem II this semster, which I recieved an 88% on!! For this class, that's pretty gosh darn good if I must say so myself. I rarely give myself credit but I'm pretty proud of this.  I studied hard and it is paying off! I got a B in Organic Chem I last semester, this semester I'm aiming for a B+ or an A!!

Omega Phi Alpha Pinning CeremonyI have made seveal posts about OPA before.  It is the service sorority that I am a part of on campus.  Last thursday we had our pinning ceremony for this semester, which officially begins the pledging period of the new OPA pledges!  They got their pledge pins and pledge books and recieved additional pledge information.  It was a lot of fun!  Here is a pic of some of the active members along with the new pledgies =)

New Year, New Semester, New Me!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This is now the end of the third week in the new Spring 2012 semester. I meant to post two weeks ago but I have been super busy! Although it has been a little rough getting back into the school mode, I believe that I am finally there now (at least for the most part haha). As far as how 2012 in general is going, it has been fabulous! I had a wonderful winter break. It was full of adventures and I feel as though I came to a lot of important realizaitons while away from school. Anyway, I would like to update you all on a few things!:

I have a new room! I had issues with my room last semester and changed after finals week. This one is bigger and better and it's alll mine!

I have a new attitude! Last year was actually very stressful and painful for me in various ways.  My main goal this year is to remember that life is short and I need/deserve to be happy.  Even when things do not go how I planned or wished, I'm going to make the most out of it and play the cards I am dealt in the smartest way possible.

Winter Break!

Hello everyone, I apologize for not posting in so long! Finals week came and went (by the graces of God!) and I am now at home with my family.  I had a LOVELY Christmas and I hope everyone else did as well.  Here at Notre Dame we have a very long winter break because we have a Winterim term, which is a basically a "mini semester". 

Anyway, let me catch you guys up on the past few weeks! A lot of exciting things have happened:

The choir's Christmas concert in our lovely chapel (I'm the 5th one from the left on the 2nd row). We were beautiful, made many women (and a few men) cry lol.
